Saving Lives, Making Friends

Berea ARF is a no-time-limit animal rescue providing shelter, love and care for stray and homeless animals for as long as it takes to place them into forever homes.

We receive no federal or municipal funding; we’re supported solely through adoptions, fundraisers and donations from generous supporters.

Adopt from ARF

As an adopter of a rescue pet from ARF, you’re giving a homeless animal the second chance at happiness they deserve.

New Shelter Fund

Help ARF save more homeless animals with a new, larger shelter facility. We’re 75% of the way to our goal.

Mission Statement: Provide compassionate, quality care for companion animals in need with no timelimit on placement into forever  homes.

Berea Animal Rescue Friends is a no-time-limit animal shelter, in operation since 1987, which rescues stray and homeless companion animals, provides medical care, spay/neuter, vaccinations and housing, and prepares animals for adoption into loving homes.

Our 300-plus volunteers and small staff work tirelessly to place over 1,000 animals into forever homes each year to give them the chance at happiness they deserve.

New Shelter Update

We’re almost there!  Only $800,000 needs to be raised to complete build ARF’s new shelter facility.  Site preparation on our 16 acres of beautiful land in Columbia Township is underway and FMD Architects is readying construction bid packages.  Your help is still needed to make our new shelter a reality!

Perfect Memorial for Your Loved One

Now available – Paver Bricks are a perfect and lasting way to support the new shelter fund and memorialize your family name or loved one. We’re now taking orders for these custom-imprinted pavers, which will be displayed in a special area at our new facility for all to see.
