Animal Admission Policies
If you have found a stray dog, cat or kitten, please follow these instructions:
Berea Residents finding a cat or kitten: Berea ARF tries to accept most stray felines found within the City of Berea. If you find a stray cat, please fill out the online Surrender Form so we can work toward finding available space or fosters. You must show proof of residency. You can call the shelter at 440-234-2034 with questions.
Berea Residents finding a stray dog: Please call the non-emergency line of the police department at 440-234-1234.
Stray animals found by non-Berea residents: If you find a stray dog or cat in any city, please call that city’s Animal Control Officer or Police Department non-emergency number for assistance.

– Neither Berea ARF nor the City of Berea are able to accept feral cats.
– Berea ARF is not equipped to provide hospital care
