Berea ARF is a no-time-limit animal rescue providing shelter, love and care for stray and homeless animals for as long as it takes to place them into forever homes.
We receive no federal or municipal funding; we’re supported solely through adoptions, fundraisers and donations from generous supporters.
ARF is currently offering open hours Tuesday-Friday from 3:30-6:30 pm and Saturdays & Sundays 1-4pm.
We are still conducting adoptions for cats by appointment during non-open hours. To schedule an appointment to visit a cat, please contact arfcats@bereaanimalrescue.com.

Berea Animal Rescue Friends is a no-time-limit animal shelter in operation since 1987, which rescues stray and homeless companion animals, provides medical care, spay/neuter, vaccinations and housing, and prepares animals for adoption into loving homes.
Our 300-plus volunteers and small staff work tirelessly to place over 1,300 animals into forever homes each year to give them the chance at happiness they deserve.
ARF is committed to helping families and pets stay together, and we wholeheartedly believe that no family or individual should feel the need to surrender their pet because of temporary financial hardship.
Our Pet Pantry is here to support members of our surrounding communities who need assistance in providing food for their pets. As our supplies of donated food allow, we offer wet and dry dog food and cat food on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month to families in need. More details.
Paws for a Cause is Berea ARF’s most important fundraising campaign of the year to support our homeless animals. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to share your passion for animals with your friends and family by becoming an ARF fundraiser during the month of “Pawgust.”
It’s easy to get started – just create your Fundraising Team online page and share the link through social media and email with everyone you know.
We’ll close the month-long festivities on August 28 with the Pizza, Pasta & Paws Party at Tony K’s Bar & Grille, featuring our awesome raffle baskets, sideboards, door prizes and more.
