Berea ARF is a no-time-limit animal rescue providing shelter, love and care for stray and homeless animals for as long as it takes to place them into forever homes.
Due to the weather conditions, the Pet Pantry hours will be cancelled on Sunday, January 25. If you are in dire need of food for your pet, contact arfdevelopmentdirector@gmail.com and we will try to accommodate your need.
We receive no federal or municipal funding; we’re supported solely through adoptions, fundraisers and donations from generous supporters.
ARF is currently offering open hours Tuesday-Friday from 3:30-6:30 pm and Saturdays & Sundays 1-4pm.
We are still conducting adoptions for cats by appointment during non-open hours. To schedule an appointment to visit a cat, please contact arfcats@bereaanimalrescue.com.

Berea Animal Rescue Friends is a no-time-limit animal shelter in operation since 1987, which rescues stray and homeless companion animals, provides medical care, spay/neuter, vaccinations and housing, and prepares animals for adoption into loving homes.
Our 300-plus volunteers and small staff work tirelessly to place over 1,300 animals into forever homes each year to give them the chance at happiness they deserve.
A transformational step forward in saving lives
Berea ARF is excited to announce that we’re raising funds to build our first-ever on-site Spay/Neuter Surgical Suite, and we invite you to join us in making this vital advancement a reality. This clinic will dramatically improve our ability to care for vulnerable animals and reduce the ongoing issue of pet overpopulation in Northeast Ohio.
Over the past five years, we have spayed and neutered more than 4,200 animals — and the need continues to grow. Our region faces a critical shortage of affordable surgical facilities, making your support more important than ever.
ARF is committed to helping families and pets stay together, and we wholeheartedly believe that no family or individual should feel the need to surrender their pet because of temporary financial hardship.
Our Pet Pantry is here to support members of our surrounding communities who need assistance in providing food for their pets. As our supplies of donated food allow, we offer wet and dry dog food and cat food on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month to families in need. More details.
