Let’s BARK, Get Set, GO! The 12th MONSTER MUTT DASH & HOWL-O- WEEN AFTERPARTY is Saturday, October 9th at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds in Berea, Ohio. The purpose of our event is to raise awareness and funds for Berea ARF, a nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting homeless, neglected and abused animals.
The MONSTER MUTT DASH is one of ARF’s most popular events with last year’s attendance at more than 1,300 people and their pooches. The 5K race attracts runners of all ages and abilities, while the One Mile Fun Walk is a sight to see with people and their dogs enjoying the 1-mile fall foliage course. The free HOWL-O-WEEN AFTERPARTY is a pet-and family-friendly day of games, contests, superb raffle baskets, delicious food, cold beer, great music, engaging celebrity emcee, a huge array of vendors and the legendary Monster Mutt Dash doggie costume show and contest.
We are asking businesses and the community to join forces with us to make this our most successful Dash ever and help the 1,000+ animals each year that get a chance at life with ARF. This is a phenomenal opportunity for any organization to get valuable, up-close and personal exposure among hundreds of community members and animal enthusiasts. Participation in the Dash will help ensure its success and also help to make a difference in our community. Not only will participating organizations reap the benefits of this cause-marketing opportunity but they will also establish them as a responsible corporate citizen and cement their role in the community.
ARF relies exclusively on donations and fundraising events such as the Monster Mutt Dash to provide food, shelter and much needed medical attention to our homeless animals. With an operating budget of $650,000+ per year, generous contributions by our friends in the community to events like the Monster Mutt Dash are critical to supporting our No-Time-Limit shelter and helping to place our animals into loving, forever homes.
