We DASH for Dogs Like Forester

Help Us Reach Our Monster Mutt Dash Goal
An ARF Second Chance Story: From rags to riches, all it took was tender loving care.

It was this past winter when we heard about 50 dogs found in horrible condition in a hoarding situation in Kentucky. There were multiple dogs crammed into crates with each other, all living outside, and many in need of medical care.

We knew we just had to help and were glad to be able to welcome Forest and 6 more of the dogs to our ARF family.  Forest was 10 years old and clearly not accustomed to human interaction. He was also pretty sick. Forest was treated for a severe upper respiratory and dermatological issues for several weeks with several rounds of various medications.

He was also very skittish. It was clear he wasn’t accustomed to human interaction. While undergoing treatment here, he started to open up and learn how to be more ‘dog’ with patient loving care from our staff and volunteers. Before long his true personality started to shine.

It wasn’t long after he opened up that his fur-ever dreams came true! He’s now living the life every dog deserves filled with love, comfort and safety!

THIS is why we “DASH”!  We thank you for joining us in helping more deserving ones like Forester by Mashing the Dash! By gathering pledges or simply making a small donation towards our Mutt Bucks Goal – you’ll be a HERO to homeless animals!
