We DASH for Dogs Like ChewyHelp Us Reach Our Monster Mutt Dash Goal
An ARF Love Story: All it took for Chewy, now known as Buckeye, to open up was a family to love
When we heard about him and others at an over-capacity facility in Southwest Ohio, we were fortunate to have foster space to welcome him to our ARF family. He didn’t take long to show his loving side. And in just a couple of days, his life was changed for-ever.
We recently heard from his furever ‘mom’ –
I missed #internationaldogday, I didn’t know it was a thing until I saw everyone else posting. I’m always posting about myself and the kids, but here’s the guy behind the scenes showing us what unconditional love really is. Buckeye knows when we’re sad, when we’re sick, when we’re happy, and when we need a friend to cuddle with.
He loves the outdoors, his feline siblings, hiking, and car rides, but most of all he loves being with his family. Two years ago Berea Animal Rescue Friends found him in a shelter in southern Ohio, brought him up here on a Monday, we found him that Wednesday. We really went to just look at the dogs, not buy one, but Buckeye had other plans for us. Thanks man, I didn’t know how much we needed you. 🐕 ❤️ #rescue #adoptdontshop #ratcha #smallbutmighty — at Rocky River Nature Center.
THIS is why we “DASH”! We thank you for joining us in helping more deserving ones like little Buckeye by Mashing the Dash! By gathering pledges or simply making a small donation towards our Mutt Bucks Goal – you’ll be a HERO to homeless animals!
