We DASH for Dogs Like Byron

Help Us Reach Our Monster Mutt Dash Goal

BYRON, an ARF Second Chance Story: From homeless and in pain, all it took was tender loving care.

This handsome Aussie mix was was found as a stray and came to ARF as a transfer from a municipal pound. It was apparent that both of Byron’s ears were severely swollen and infected. He was in such pain that our healthcare team was not able to completely assess and treat him.

Byron was sent to our veterinary clinic where he could be sedated while his ears were tested, irrigated, and medicated.

He then returned to ARF with prescribed oral and topical antibiotics along with steroids. Once his ears cleared up from treatments, they were left with scar tissue – leaving his right ear permanently bent open.

But that didn’t matter to Elliot and Katherine, they met him and fell in love – bent ear and all!! He’s now living the life every dog deserves filled with love, comfort and safety!

Dear ARF, We Just wanted to thank you again for helping us get Byron!!! He has come a long way and we just love him!!! An excellent addition to the family. The grandkids love him too!!
