Volunteer Feline Friends donate their time & energy with our cats at the shelter or at our off site PETCO locations. Feline Friend Volunteers MUST be 18 years of age or older.
We're looking for cat lovers that can commit to at least two hours a week or every other week. Your shift duties include making sure cages are clean with fresh food and water, helping with laundry (cat bedding and toys), grooming, general clean-up of the Cat House and helping to socialize shy and timid cats. You will also assist in cat adoptions.
HELP is needed 7 days a week / 365 days a year!
Weekdays: 2pm - 4pm & 6:30pm - 8:00pm
Weekends: 1pm - 4pm
Help Our PETCO Cats by Volunteering!
If you love cats and would like to volunteer, but feel Berea is too far away or would like to help with a fewer number of cats, then why not consider volunteering to help care for the five or so cats we have up for adoption at the Strongsville or Westgate PETCO stores?
We are looking to expand our base of volunteers for our offsite locations at PETCO. The stores are located at:
- Westgate Shopping Mall, at the intersection of Center Ridge Road and West 210th Street in Fairview Park.
- Strongsville, near the Southpark Mall: 16710 Royalton Road, at the intersection of Howe Rd.
We typically have volunteers visiting a store twice a day, either once in the morning or once in the early evening to clean cages, and make sure our cats and kittens have food and water. Volunteers also let the animals out to romp around and stretch their legs during a visit. A typical visit lasts about an hour. Usually people will stop and visit with the cats and kittens while they are out and you can share stories about the animals and the shelter and answer questions too.

We have placed well over 350 cats and kittens into loving homes since we started placing cats through our off site PETCO adoption centers in 2007!
This volunteer assignment is really a fun job, you get to meet many nice people that come into the stores, the store staffs are fabulous and it’s just a nice, fun place to be. We hope to hear from you!
