This beautiful young kitty is about two years old. She was very frightened when first arriving at the shelter but has improved over time and does enjoy being petted. Right now Jayne is residing with some of the dedicated women inmates at the Northern Ohio Correctional facility where she is getting 24 hour a day care and attention and rooming with some other cats with similar problems. We are hoping that this constant and loving attention will help her overcome her apprehension and shyness around people. It has been reported that she is adjusting well and making progress. UPDATE FROM JAYNE'S FOSTER HOME: She's been rooming with both cats and dogs and is doing fine with both. She is particularly fond of male cats, not sure she really enjoys the company of female cats, but is not aggressive to them. Dogs are not her favorite but she can coexist peacefully with them. She still tends to be on the shy side but she has made close friends with her foster mom and sleeps with her every night. Jayne tends to be more of a low key girl and not super active.

UPDATE-3-10-10:  Jayne is coming along.  She is very devoted to her primary care taker.  She's rarely far away from Christine and is very comfortable in the room.  In fact she loves to relax with her paws on Christine!  When Miss Edie (another foster cat) comes over to Christine for some attention Jayne now worms her way in between them.
