Movin on Up to a New Shelter!
Soon ARF will be formally kicking off our Capital Campaign to purchase property for a new shelter! As you can see from these photos of our current facilities, we really do need more room and an 'upgrade!' Last year, through the efforts of our volunteers, foster homes, PETCO Westgate and PETCO Southpark, we cared for over 950 cats, kittens, dogs and puppies that otherwise would have been homeless. As a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, we rely solely on contributions, grants and fundraising for the precious money needed to continue our mission.

The pictures above were taken during the heavy rains of late May 2011. Water rushed into our shelter through the front doors flooding our dog building and the dog kennels. Fortunately no animals were hurt because of the flooding. Won’t you help us build a new modern [and dryer] facility? Tax deductible donations may be made here. Thank you for your support!

For the betterment of the lives of stray and abandoned animals, Berea's Animal Rescue Fund, Inc. promises to:
Give loving care and companionship for as long as needed
Provide shelter, food and medical necessities
Seek quality homes through adoption programs
Create public interest and awareness of animal rights and issues
Promote action and advocacy for all of the above

Our meetings may be in conjunction with ARF's Fundraising Team and/or Capital Campaign Committee to coordinate ARF's Events and its Capital Campaign for a new facility!
We’ll be talking about concepts and where we are with our goals for the year and beyond. Such as streamlining our current contact database record keeping, multi-media marketing, networking, humane ed/community outreach, developing comprehensive branded marketing package and special campaigns, to name a few!

Berea ARF's Fundraising Committee is looking for some good people to join the team!
Have you always wondered what it's like to plan events? Do you have great organizational skills? Are you a team player who has been looking for a great way to donate some spare time? Our committee could be the perfect fit for you!
Please join our TEAM!!
Possibilities include:
-Becoming an event / effort coordinator
-Working with PR/Marketing committee with Promotions
-Recruiting sponsors/donors for events
-Gathering items for raffles
-Clerical duties such as mailings and thank you letters, and keeping spreadsheets with event info and MUCH MORE!
As part of our fundraising committee, you will have the ability to use your creativity and motivation toward a great cause, while being supported by committee members who "know the ropes"!
If you are interested in helping with the fundraising committee on a steady basis , please join us at an upcoming meeting and/or drop us an E-mail!

Please join us for ARF's HUGE ANNUAL RUMMAGE SALE!!
When: Saturday, May 12th
9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

What: Lots of treasures to be found, along with snacks and come meet some of our wonderful adoptables too!
Start saving your unwanted treasures now for homeless animals!
ARF’s annual rummage sale is wonderful fundraiser for us, because everything sold is donated by our generous supporters like you!
How to donate:
Please drop off your items at the Berea High School cafeteria on Friday, May 11th between 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. only.
Please do not drop off any rummage sale items at the shelter, as we do not have room to store items there.
Unfortunately we cannot accept large appliances or large pieces of furniture. We appreciate but cannot accept clothing items such as shirts, pants, dresses, etc. – yet we gladly accept quality coats, shoes or purses.
Also, please use discretion when donating items, such as their condition and re-salability.
